It’s almost that time of year again! Throughout the country, college graduates are gearing up to don caps and gowns and head out into the Real World.  One of the most interesting aspects of commencement exercises is the speaker – who will stand before you and give you your final words of wisdom before you head out to the next stage of life?

Howard has always had great speakers – but this year is especially important to me because I’ll be leaving my home on Hilltop High.

I have friends at many different schools who found out who their speaker would be months ago. So as May crept closer and closer with no announcement, other members of the class of 2013 and I began to get nervous.

Then out of nowhere, Howard announced it – President Bill Clinton will be delivering the address. You can hear more on the story at The Hilltop.

And of course in true HU fashion, students and alumni had a little fun on Twitter after the announcement was made.
